The Price changes done by Xano on Jan 22, 2026 are Mind boggling! to say the least.
Only in July last year Xano had deprecated its launch, scale, agency lite etc. pricing and simplified to Starter, pro and custom. It was a sensible move since the free plan could be upgraded to a starter plan@29$ instead of the earlier launch plan@99$
Suddenly after 6 months I see they have again changed their pricing and the 29$ starter plan has been deprecated and instead its 99$ essential plan is listed now!
As an agency, why would our client want to be on the essential plan and pay 100$!!!!
On top of that, the free plan is not available anywhere except the US. This is bizarre!
This almost looks like a glitch (if not a nightmare). This move is going to scare away so many freelancers and small teams like mine.
What's mosst disturbing are the huge price swings that raise serious concerns for any developer thinking of using Xano for long term. If in 1 year Xano can go from 99$ to 29$ and back to 99$, then the huge uncertainty factor around pricing alone is demotivating enough to stay with Xano. Plan deprecations and price changes are part of any company's revenue model and developers get it but all within reasonable and predictable bounds. Reducing and increasing prices 5x within a span of 1 year doesn't leave a attractive picture for any developers considering Xano for long term.
