Migrating Bubble Backend to Xano – Best Practices for User Data and Authentication

Hi everyone,

I’m currently planning to migrate the backend of my Bubble application, which has around 650 users, completely to Xano. Currently, I have my backend, workflows, and frontend all built on Bubble.io. My goal is to migrate all backend logic, data, and user authentication to Xano while rebuilding the frontend on WeWeb.

I’m aware that the migration is technically possible, but I have a few key questions I’d like to clarify to ensure a smooth transition.

Key questions:

  1. User migration: Is there a best-practice approach for transferring existing user data (including passwords) from Bubble to Xano?

  2. Authentication: How can I ensure that users remain logged in or at least have an easy way to re-authenticate after the migration

If anyone has experience with this kind of migration or can point out potential challenges or best practices, I’d be really grateful for your advice or resources.

Thanks in advance for your help! 🙏

Best,
Ruben
